This intensive course of instruction class builds upon and refines the skill sets previously established in the Beginning Pistol course while introducing shooters to new drills, cutting edge concepts, and core shooting principles.
This course of instruction is designed to take the shooters skills to the next level. Students will discuss and learn the advanced skills in shooting from a holster, training on malfunctions and how to clear them, learn different reloading techniques, discuss different sight picture options and how they relate to speed and distance, learn one handed shooting techniques and obtain comprehensive training in advanced handgun marksmanship.
This course is Level III in the SGC handgun training series. We strongly recommend Beginning Pistol (or equivalent) before attending this course. Students MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun as well as have demonstrated competence in working from a holster and performing reloads.
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for this course may be removed from training.
